SPOT X features

SOS message:
Use this feature in the event of a life-threatening situation or other critical emergencies to notify emergency services of your exact location and request assistance.  With your SPOT X, you can describe your emergency to the rescue coordination centre and receive confirmation that help is on its way. The GEOS International Emergency Response Centre will alert the appropriate emergency services in your area. At the same time, a GEOS employee will call your stored emergency contacts and inform them of the status of the rescue.

Write and receive messages:
Write and receive messages to/from mobile phone numbers and email addresses from almost anywhere in the world.

OK message:
Let others know quickly and easily that you are safe and share your current GPS location with them – you can decide whether you want to write your own message or send a predefined text.

Tracking:
Choose between 2½, 5, 10, 30 or 60 minute intervals and share your route with family, friends and other adventurers via the SPOT Shared Page.

Social media:
Link your Twitter account and keep friends and family up to date.
