DeutschAntenna cable
If no free transmission of the signal is possible at the installation location of the FLARM®, the antenna can be mounted with the antenna cable e.g. in the instrument panel or in the tail unit.
When using monopole antennas (e.g. the original toothpick antenna), a counterpole (aluminium, brass, nickel silver) of at least 15x15cm is required, this is not included in the scope of delivery.
Suitable for all antennas without connection cable, e.g. the original "toothpick" antenna or the dipole axial antenna.
Cable lengths up to 2m:
Cable type: RG-174, diameter approx. 3mm, very flexible, attenuation approx. 1.0 dB/m. With antenna socket at the antenna end of the cable.
Cable lengths over 2m:
Cable type: RG-240, diameter approx. 6.5mm, little flexible, bending radius approx. 2.5cm, double shielded, attenuation approx. 0.25 dB/m. There is NOT an antenna socket at the antenna end of the cable. This cable is suitable as a tail antenna in combination with the dipole axial antenna.
PowerFLARM Fusion devices:
This item cannot be used on the PowerFLARM Fusion without an adapter.
The following applies to all antenna cables: For an IGC or IGC/ENL upgraded Classic FLARM, an antenna adapter is strongly recommended on the FLARM side, PowerFLARMs from FLARM Technology do not need it.
