With its five super-bright LEDs, the canopy flasher is the ideal combination of visibility in the direction of flight and efficiency.
The colour RED means danger
...and is quickly perceived by the human eye. It is also a contrast to the mostly white gliders. During our flight tests it quickly became apparent that we would therefore equip the canopy flasher with red CREE® LEDs as standard. Even on days with strong sunlight, this provides a good increase in safety.
Protection even against aircraft without collision warning
...because not every aircraft is equipped with a collision warning device, transponder or similar. The power-saving normal operation combines visibility and low power consumption. And it's all fully automatic, because it should always be on!
No cable tangle with hinged hoods
...thanks to the new canopy contact developed especially for this purpose. This optional accessory guarantees the power supply of the canopy flasher and ensures safe canopy emergency ejection. With its inconspicuous black design, the contact blends in with the modern glider cockpit.
Mode of operation:
The canopy flasher is operated in the stand-alone version without FLARM connection. After switching on, it operates losntant with a medium flash rate and thus increases the visibility of one's own aircraft from the front.

Important notes on installation:
With hinged canopies (as installed in most gliders) it is essential to either install an easily detachable, non-locking quick disconnect point in the connection cable OR to install the optional available canopy contact! The release of the canopy from the aircraft during emergency canopy release must be guaranteed in any case!
